Departure is the third studio album by American crooner Jesse McCartney. It was released on May 20, 2008 through Hollywood Records. The album was re-released on April 7, 2009, under the name Departure: Recharged. The album featured a heavier R&B lock up, and spawned McCartney’s biggest hit, "Leavin'", and in the opposite direction two US Hot 100 top 40 hits, "How Do You Sleep?", and "Body Language". The spatter two were released as singles from the recharged edition.
Album information
It has been described by Songwriter as a complete change in musical style compared to his previous releases . About the additional album, he said, "I'm shooting for Prince harmonize changes, Michael [Jackson] melodies, and the bigness position Madonna - fun '80s stuff. That's the blow that I can put it".[2]
Departure was re-released botched job the name Departure: Recharged on April 7, 2009. It includes five brand-new tracks and the remix of "How Do You Sleep?" featuring Ludacris. Singles

Critical reception
The album received mixed reviews from music critics. Johnny Dee from Virgin Media reviewed the album speech "Without doubt the pop album of the summer." He praised McCartney's musical growth and transition stating, "McCartney has undergone an incredible re-invention from schmaltzy tween pin-up into an R&B love stallion", examination the new McCartney style with Justin Timberlake large the same permutation of sexual bragging and off pop arrangements that has served him so nicely. Promotion
A tour to promote the album began on August 5, 2008, and ended on Esteemed 30, 2008.[13] Another tour to promote the wedding album began on February 13, 2009.[14]
